our story
you would not believe who has been naked on my table.
and I would not tell you anyway.
venice, california.the early 2000s.
I started my massage practice in the early 2000s in Venice, California, developing a unique way of listening to and healing the body. my approach built a devoted following — the kind you would only find in LA.
I have always seen myself as more of a healer than a massage therapist. I have the ability to listen to what your body needs, understand the source of pain and discomfort, and bring relief. I call myself a body engineer because I troubleshoot the body, getting to the root of what is wrong instead of just treating symptoms. but I never wanted that relief to be temporary.
i was deeply concerned about the chemicals in the oils and lotions available for my clients — and for myself.
after 10 hours of using them every day, my body told me loud and clear: this is not right. my skin reacted. my migraines flared. I needed something better. my clients deserved something better.
so I started making it myself.
built in small batches.on purpose.
hellomellow was never designed to scale into a factory. it was designed to be exactly what it is: small-batch, handmade, and completely transparent.
every product starts with a short list of food-grade ingredients - the kind you could find in a kitchen.
no water to bulk up the formula. no synthetic fillers. no fragrance to cover up what should not be there. if I would not put it on a client on the massage table, it does not go into a hellomellow product.
more than a scent.a feeling.
I know healing is not just about the body — it is about the mind too. some clients were stressed, restless, unable to wind down. some were drained, foggy, and needed an energy boost. some were seeking balance, clarity, or a reset.
I started blending in essential oils with purpose to support their emotional and energetic needs. I would send clients home with prescriptions tailored to what they needed most. clients came back glowing — not just from my massages, but from the visible transformation in their skin and the way they felt in their bodies.
they begged me to make more.
what started as a way to heal the skin became a way to heal the whole being. and that is when hellomellow was born.

still handmade.still the same commitment.
I sold hellomellow first at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market and eventually landed on the shelves of my regional Whole Foods.
these days I have ditched La La Land and have the pleasure of crafting hellomellow from my workshop in Idaho. I am so grateful to bring a small part of my healing to more people across the country.
twenty-plus years later, every product is still handmade in small batches with the same commitment: nothing you cannot pronounce, nothing that does not work.
hellomellow has grown from that massage practice in Venice to a community of tens of thousands of people — people dealing with crepey skin, eczema, perioral dermatitis, dry cracked heels, sensitive skin, and everything in between.
thank you for being here and trying hellomellow. know I am only an email or phone call away — yes, I love talking to our customers — for any guidance on how to best incorporate hellomellow into your self care.
xo, Tracy
