and i wouldn't tell you anyway. but my massage practice in the early 2000's in Venice, California incubated hellomellow. i was deeply concerned about the chemicals in the oils and lotions available at the time, both for my clients and for myself.

how is your butter different from lotion?
lotions are mostly water + fillers that vanish in minutes. our butter is dense avocado + mango fats that melt into skin for lasting nourishment.
is it safe for sensitive skin?
yes. we avoid nut oils, synthetic fragrance, parabens, phthalates, and other irritants. our oils are handmade in small batches with simple, plant-based ingredients.
should i apply to damp or dry skin?
always to dry skin. butter works best as a concentrated layer of moisture, especially on heels, elbows, and hands.
what if it arrives grainy or melted?
totally natural! heat can cause butters to change texture, but they’re still just as effective.
is your body butter greasy?
nope. our body butter melts in quickly and leaves skin soft with a light, cushiony finish — never greasy or sticky. if it feels heavy, just use less. our butters are so densely nourishing that a little truly goes a long way.
can i use it on my face?
our butters are made for body care, but many customers (and tracy!) love using them on delicate areas like the neck, around the lips, and even near the eyes. because facial skin can be more sensitive, we always suggest patch testing first to see how your skin responds.
can i use it every day?
absolutely. daily use is the best way to keep skin soft, resilient, and nourished.
How long will it take to get my order?
we’re a small team handmaking every product with love, so we ask for 5–7 business days to craft and pack your order with care. once shipped, delivery usually takes 3–5 days via USPS. we promise it’s worth the wait 💛
